We're Back....

Only 3 weeks and counting until we leave for Ukraine.  It's been an incredibly busy summer and lots of emotions running through our heads as we prepare to embark on the next chapter of our lives.  The thoughts that are rambling through our heads have consumed us.  Will we find the child that we hope is out there waiting for us?  We always thought it would be incredible to have a choice in the adoption process and have no idea who the specific child is that we are hoping to adopt.  That's why Ukraine seemed like the perfect fit.  You don't go over there and adopt the child that was chosen for you by the government like China and Russia.  The thoughts have teetered back and forth.  Is that the way we want to go?  How can we prepare for this unknown child?  I guess as it gets closer, it gets really scary!  Especially reading about families that have come home without the child/children they so desperately were hoping for.  Are we prepared for something like that to happen to us?  I don't know how much more my strength and determination I have and haven't even gotten there yet!  I guess it's just one of those emotional days for us.  We received some disappointing news today, picked ourselves up and brushed ourselves off.  After much thought and deliberation we have decided to go as planned and hope and pray for the best.  Best wishes, Heather

I hope to see you there!!

I know we are feeling like we are in a boxing match and this adoption is kickin us in the face. BUT we are going and trusting God will take care of all things according to His will. It's not easy but we're walking it, just one step at a time.

Hang in there!

Heather -
I'm praying for your trip to Ukraine. It is a difficult process, but should be worth it in the end!
