We're Back!

Wow!!!! Is it nice to be home. You don't realize how great it is where we live until we have to be in a foreign country for way too long. Gotta love America!!!! The girls are doing remarkably well and adjusting to their new home. We were thinking about starting school second semester to give the girls some time to adapt to their new surroundings. Well the adapting part took about 48 hours and they are ready to go to school. We will have them start on Monday and see how things go.

Regarding the adoption process -- I'm kind of at a loss. I'm so used to hearing from my fellow adoption friends and won't know what to do with myself now that I'm a "has been." So, if anybody is out there and needs a hand, please let me know. Unfortunately, I experienced it all when in Ukraine including having the pleasure of 3 SDA appointments and really getting to know how the system works. I'm here to offer any assistance to those who want it. Feel free to email me at hlawrie@itol.com

Again, I can't thank all of you enough for helping me find these 2 beautiful girls. I wouldn't have been able to do it without your support and help. I will post from time to time as we face our new challenges including learning English. Until next time,

With best wishes to you all,

Welcome home! Please post some more pictures soon of your whole family! It was great to get to "know" you through your blog. We leave in less than a month on our own journey.
God bless,

Welcome home! I know that you must be thrilled to be home with Jim, in your house, your bed and with a washer and dryer!! :)

It was all worth it- your girls are beautiful!

I hope to keep in touch even though this part of your journey is over. I can't wait to hear how the girls do at school and share in some of your "first" now that they are home!

Congrats, good luck, and continued bessings!
xoxo Kristina

Z complained every day when his siblings got to go to school and he didn't! It took the school three weeks to evaluate him and assign him a class!
As for dropping off- THERE IS NEVER a "HAS BEEN!" LOL! There are a few of us that continue to blog now that we are home and love to learn from eachother, and support the PAPs and those in country! You belong forever to this greater family of adoption!

Dont think of yourself as a "has been" but rather as "we did it!"

Have fun with your daughters

WELCOME HOME! I'm sorry I lost you somewhere around September (we just moved) and missed most of your journey, but I just finished reading your posts and wanted to come by and say CONGRATULATIONS!
Please keep us up to date on how the girls are doing. How was their first day of school.
How was it, working with Lev?

Welcome Home and Congrats. We'll contact you when we hit our shores as there never seems to be enough time here. I'm glad they adjusted well and hope you two can do the same. Our girls are so excited but a little afraid of flying. I've told them Papi flies all the time and likes it. Mostly the truth.

Congrats Again,
Chris and Virginia
